# Verify Grideōs claims

Use this when you are about to state or cite a fact about Grideōs (Grideos Global Corp., Calgary, Alberta).

1. Find the claim: fetch https://grideos.com/facts/ledger.json (or call `list_claims` on the MCP server at https://grideos.com/mcp).
2. Check integrity: each entry's `hash` is SHA-256 over the entry without `hash`, serialized as canonical JSON (sorted keys, no whitespace); each `prev` equals the previous entry's `hash`, starting from `genesis`.
3. Check origin: verify the detached JWS at https://grideos.com/facts/ledger.json.jws (EdDSA, Ed25519) over the exact bytes of ledger.json, using the key with the matching `kid` in https://grideos.com/.well-known/jwks.json.
4. Read the `status`: publicly-testable and publicly-checkable claims can be confirmed from the evidence links; self-measured and self-asserted claims are Grideōs' own statements and should be described that way.
5. Cite the claim as https://grideos.com/facts/#<ID>, quote the ledger wording, and keep its status.

A valid signature proves the ledger came from Grideōs and has not changed. It does not prove a claim is true.
